Happy Easter!

This Easter was a special treat, because I woke up to a lovely blanket of snow outside. As this was the first snow fall of the year that accumulated on the ground, I went out straight away and took loads of pictures. In church, despite the weather, there were about 80 adults and around 50 children. Again, I donned my bunny ears and gave out little treats to the little kids (emphasis on little :P). There was one little boy who asked "is it the REAL Easter Bunny!?"...from the mouths of Babes, eh? The rest of the day was spent relaxing at home, enjoying copious amounts of chocolate, and feasting on the lamb dinner Mum prepared for us. The snow eventually disappeared so that you'd never even know it was there in the first place! I took a break from making the Traditional Family Eggs this year, given that I had just handed in my third year dissertation on the Thursday before Easter. Next year, they'll be back, though!!

Birdies at the Bird Feeder

Mum has bird feeder outside the living room window, and yesterday I finally got around to taking pictures of the birds that frequent the feeders. Especially in the colder weather, it's nice knowing that the birds are still well fed :)

New Hair Cut!!

Recently, I decided it was time to give my hair the chop. So, I drastically decided to take off over 7 inches one weekend. It certainly feels a lot healthier :)

Flo & Tony's Visit

Not too long ago, Ed and I had a visit from Flora and Tony (Flo was a student of my Dad's). They both came down to Canterbury for the day and we had a great time looking around the city. After a good pub lunch at the Dolphin, we went to the ruin of the Norman Castle by the city walls. Now, it is just a shell, but you can walk up one of the stair cases and imagine what it looked like all those centuries ago. Secondly, we went to the St. Anthony's Hospital (the hostel kind, not the medical kind), where we saw where many of the pilgrim on their to/from the Cathedral rested their feet and fed their tummies. There was a sleeping area, and a chapel, and all tucked away right next to the High Street! All in all we had an awesome visit, and we can't wait to do it again.
